Everyone has a voice.

our story

Pastor Emily Norris of The Dwelling congregation reached out to Authoring Action through a mutual friend. She wanted to partner with us to develop a writing workshop and community wide engagement to elevate the voices and stories of The Dwelling Congregation.

In the spring of 2023, supported by Forsyth County ARPA funds through the WS Arts Council we began the first of 4 sessions. In the inaugural Voices from the Dwelling class, 5 Dwellers presented their original written pieces along with original songs and artwork in 4 public engagements to members of our community.

In the fall of 2023 and spring of 2024 another 14 Dwellers joined the Authoring Action team to produce original written work, songs and artwork which were presented for the community. In September 2024 a third ensemble will form.

In the vibrant world of creativity, the magic of collaboration shines through the extraordinary support of talented musicians. Their diverse backgrounds and unique sounds, create an inspiring atmosphere. Every project is elevated. Each note and lyric reflect shared stories and experiences. Performances resonate with depth and richness. Our harmonious partnerships not only enhance the artistic process but amplify voices - spark creative impactful narratives.
