In the fall of 2022 Artistic Director Nathan Ross Freeman conducted a series of Authoring Action Creative Writing workshops for seniors involved at Senior Services. Upon completion, the seniors delivered their monologues in a public presentation. The response was resoundingly positive and led to a formal program partnership with a new initiative, The Center for Arts and Wellness.
Authoring Action Creative Writing and PRESENTATION
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20th at 12:30 ~ PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF AUTHORED WORKS
Location: Main Street at the Intergenerational Center for Arts & Wellness
Seniors to explore a new way to share stories, personal experiences and philosophies through creative writing and engagement. From the First Ink Discussion to final engagement, this unique, six-session class teaches you ways to “Write to the Senses.” Taught by Authoring Action’s Co-founder and Artistic Director, Nathan Ross Freeman.
Today, in a global society riddled with crisis, Authoring Action’s directive is to develop a curative force that flexes language through persona power to impact issues, to audiences, viewers and readers.
As a program partner with Senior Services' Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness in May 2024 Authoring Action brought together an intergenerational ensemble to create "What I Wish You Knew" - a conversation and presentation between Gen. Z, Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers. We hope to take this format to congregations and organizations who wish to engage across generations in understanding and dialogue.
“I wish you knew about the people in my community who felt comfortable touching each other just to show appreciation.
