Educator Training Workshops
Authoring Action educator workshops teach our unique creative writing process to be shared in spaces of relevancy, where issues are prevalent and the need for change is immediate. This process transcends teaching; it is exegetical, in that the process pulls from what is already within each student to build upon inherent human capacity, revealing an author with something to say. Beginning from within one person: a teen, a teacher, a professional, an advocate, this power is within each of us and manifests through language — even one word.

Authoring Action ensembles have been invited as the keynote presenter at the NAREN conference in Baltimore, MD nine years in a row.
Each year, teachers from across the country come together to discuss alternative and sustainable ways to work with youth in educational settings, particularly youth with family, behavioral, emotional or judicial obstacles in their life.
It is a valuable opportunity for our authors to speak directly to teachers. Every year teachers' feedback is overwhelming. They are grateful to directly experience students' perspectives.
